“Who are you?” Sofia asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Sofia knew that she had a choice to make

Sofia knew that she had a choice to make. She could turn back, return to the safety of her own world. Or she could press on, into the heart of darkness.

The darkness seemed to grow thicker, more oppressive, as she walked. Sofia stumbled, her foot catching on something unseen. She fell hard, the wind knocked out of her.

The journey was both exhilarating and terrifying. Sofia felt like she was losing herself in the process, but she couldn’t turn back now. She had to see this through, no matter where it led.
