As Conan digs deeper, he uncovers a complex plot involving multiple suspects and motives. The gallery owner, Mr. Tanaka, seems to be hiding something, and one of the artists, Ms. Kawahara, appears to be overly interested in the stolen painting.
Through his meticulous investigation, Conan eventually uncovers the truth behind the phantom thief’s identity and motives. The thief is revealed to be none other than a former employee of the gallery, who was seeking revenge against Mr. Tanaka.
Conan, being the keen detective that he is, quickly takes charge of the investigation. He begins by examining the crime scene and gathering clues. He notices that the thief seemed to have appeared out of nowhere and that the ventilation shaft was not large enough for a person to fit through.
Conan also discovers that the phantom thief has a history of stealing valuable items and leaving behind cryptic messages. The detective realizes that the thief is not just after the monetary value of the painting but is trying to convey a message.
