Beyoncé began singing and performing at a young age, competing in over 30 local talent shows and winning numerous awards. She attended Parker Elementary School, where she was a star student and a member of the school’s choir. Later, she enrolled in the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, where she honed her craft and developed her skills as a singer, dancer, and actress. In 1990, Beyoncé met Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and the trio formed a group that would eventually become Destiny’s Child. The group’s original lineup included LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett, but after several lineup changes, Beyoncé, Kelly, and Michelle became the iconic trio we know today.
